These are your responsibilities
- Develop relevant guidelines, standards and technical tools.
- Set standards of quality and capacity requirements for CBM’s physical rehabilitation work at different levels of the organisation to meet these standards.
- Drive relevant innovation and develop model programmes.
- Ensure quality assurance of Physical Rehabilitation programmes in terms of technical requirements, disability inclusion and developmental good practice.
- Give input or lead on assessments, planning, monitoring and evaluations (at project, partner, country, regional, global levels) in alignment to CBM and global standards.
- Provide advisory and consultancy support to internal stakeholders, country offices, and external partners as needed.
- Conduct and contribute to audits, assessments, planning, monitoring, and evaluations.
- Develop and deliver training, coaching, and mentoring to regional advisors/experts, building upon CBM’s existing training materials and sectoral expertise.
- Contribute to the development of research and evidence-based materials, documenting good practices and model programmes for interregional dissemination and application.
- Facilitate learning networks and communities of practice for regional experts and provide advisory support to internal stakeholders, including CBM Country Offices and other technical areas.
- Build strategic relationships within international and regional alliances to strengthen physical rehabilitation in international development and promote CBM’s global work, added value, and achievements.
- Contribute to global advocacy initiatives led by WHO Member States and Non-State Actors, including dissemination of relevant information.
- Travel internationally to CBM programme countries and relevant events.
These are your qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in physical Rehabilitation or a relevant field.
- Significant hands-on experience in physical rehabilitation programmes or facilities in low- and middle-income countries, including working with children.
- Proven managerial or capacity development experience in the rehabilitation sector.
- Strong background in development cooperation, with experience applying tools and methods for programme design and implementation, such as inclusive project cycle management, participatory approaches, and community mobilization.
- Knowledge of key stakeholders, global trends, and priorities in rehabilitation.
- Ability to work at a senior level, independently and collaboratively.
- Experience in Universal Design for Accessibility, Assistive Devices & Technology and Disability-inclusive Development.
- Demonstrated experience in operational research, developing strategic plans, policies, and curricula (advantageous).
- Knowledge of digital tools and applications in community development practice (advantageous).
- Strong communication skills in English, French language competence is an added advantage.
- Ability to work internationally and in different intercultural contexts.
- Identification with the Christian values and mandate of CBM.
