The International Centre for Reproductive Health (ICRH) was founded in 1994 as an answer to the International Conference on Population and Development (ICPD, Cairo, 1994). ICRH Kenya is an independent organization established in the year 2000.

Scope of Work

The graphics designer will be responsible for the following immediate tasks:

  • Designing the layout and visual elements of the annual newsletter, including the cover, and infographics.
  • Designing the layout and visual elements of technical briefs, including the cover, and infographics.
  • Collaborating with the communications team to create visually appealing and informative graphics for the website revamp.
  • Ensuring all design work is in line with ICRHK’s branding guidelines and visual identity.
  • Providing creative input and suggestions for improving the overall look and feel of the newsletter, technical briefs and website.
  • Revising and refining designs based on feedback from the communications team and other stakeholders.
  • Carry out any other graphics design duties that may be required by ICRHK management.

Deliverables

  • The graphics designer will be expected to deliver the following in the next one month:
  • A draft design for the annual newsletter cover and layout.
  • A draft design of project technical brief and organization powerpoint presentation template.
  • Visual elements and graphics for the website revamp, including, icons, and illustrations.
  • Revised designs based on feedback from the communications team and stakeholders.
  • Finalized designs for both the newsletter and website revamp, ready for printing and implementation.

Timeline

  • Th graphics designer will be engaged on an open-ended basis, starting from 27/5/2024.

Mode of working

  • The consultant will work closely with the Communications Consultant and Deputy Country Director during the assignment.
  • The consultant will use their own computer and other equipment required for the task.
  • Any emerging need will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis.
  • Proven experience as a graphics designer, with a strong portfolio of previous work.
  • Proficiency in graphic design software such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign).
  • Knowledge of print and digital design principles.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with a team.
  • Attention to detail and a creative mindset
