Key Responsibilities:

  • Product Innovation:
  • Work closely with the Product team on the development of new products and innovative solutions according to the company’s product roadmap.
  • Conduct market research and gather customer needs to support optimal product solutions for Fido customers.
  • Strategic Partnerships:
  • Identify, establish, and nurture strategic partnerships to facilitate the successful launch of products outlined in the company’s roadmap.
  • Relationship Management:
  • Build strong relationships with key stakeholders, including potential partners, regulatory authorities, and industry influencers.
  • Represent the company in negotiations and discussions with external parties.
  • Market Intelligence and Analysis:
  • Gather competitive intelligence and conduct a thorough analysis of industry trends.
  • Derive data-driven decisions, refine business strategies, and identify growth opportunities for new products in the company’s roadmap.
  • Expansion:
  • Develop and implement strategies to drive the expansion of the company’s existing and new products.
  • Lead efforts in raising debt to support expansion initiatives.
  • Team Leadership:
  • Foster a collaborative and results-driven culture within the team.
  • Recruit (on demand), mentor, and lead a high-performing business development team.

Requirements:

  1. Education and Experience:
  2. Proven track record of at least 7 years in leading any of the following: Business Strategy, Product Development, Digital Banking, Fintech, Partnerships.
  3. Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Marketing, or a related field. Master’s degree is a plus.
  4. Innovation Mindset:
  5. Proven experience in contributing to the development of innovative digital financial products and services.
  6. Partnership Management:
  7. Extensive experience in identifying, negotiating, and managing strategic partnerships.
  8. Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills
  9. Product Research Experience:
  10. Proven record of leading enhanced product research to identify valuable information before a new product goes to market.
  11. Analytical Skills:
  12. Strong analytical skills with the ability to gather and interpret market intelligence and data.
  13. Experience in making data-driven decisions.
  14. Financial Acumen:
  15. Solid understanding of financial concepts and products, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
  16. Regulatory Knowledge:
  17. Familiarity with the regulatory environment in Ghana’s fintech and financial services sector.
