Key Responsibilities:
- Product Innovation:
- Work closely with the Product team on the development of new products and innovative solutions according to the company’s product roadmap.
- Conduct market research and gather customer needs to support optimal product solutions for Fido customers.
- Strategic Partnerships:
- Identify, establish, and nurture strategic partnerships to facilitate the successful launch of products outlined in the company’s roadmap.
- Relationship Management:
- Build strong relationships with key stakeholders, including potential partners, regulatory authorities, and industry influencers.
- Represent the company in negotiations and discussions with external parties.
- Market Intelligence and Analysis:
- Gather competitive intelligence and conduct a thorough analysis of industry trends.
- Derive data-driven decisions, refine business strategies, and identify growth opportunities for new products in the company’s roadmap.
- Expansion:
- Develop and implement strategies to drive the expansion of the company’s existing and new products.
- Lead efforts in raising debt to support expansion initiatives.
- Team Leadership:
- Foster a collaborative and results-driven culture within the team.
- Recruit (on demand), mentor, and lead a high-performing business development team.
Requirements:
- Education and Experience:
- Proven track record of at least 7 years in leading any of the following: Business Strategy, Product Development, Digital Banking, Fintech, Partnerships.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Marketing, or a related field. Master’s degree is a plus.
- Innovation Mindset:
- Proven experience in contributing to the development of innovative digital financial products and services.
- Partnership Management:
- Extensive experience in identifying, negotiating, and managing strategic partnerships.
- Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills
- Product Research Experience:
- Proven record of leading enhanced product research to identify valuable information before a new product goes to market.
- Analytical Skills:
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to gather and interpret market intelligence and data.
- Experience in making data-driven decisions.
- Financial Acumen:
- Solid understanding of financial concepts and products, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
- Regulatory Knowledge:
- Familiarity with the regulatory environment in Ghana’s fintech and financial services sector.
