This role is a Central role with oversight over several countries that Jumia operates in.
What you will be doing:
- Lead the development and implementation of performance governance frameworks and systems within warehouses across the Group, ensuring alignment with overall business goals and objectives.
- Establish key performance indicators (KPIs), metrics, and targets to measure and monitor warehouse performance across the Group, including productivity, accuracy, efficiency, and quality.
- Design and implement performance measurement tools and dashboards to track and report on performance metrics, providing insights and recommendations to drive continuous improvement.
- Develop and maintain performance governance processes and procedures, including regular performance reviews, scorecarding, and escalation protocols, to ensure accountability and transparency.
- Analyze performance data to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for improvement, conducting root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions as needed.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including warehouse operations, logistics, and quality assurance, to align performance objectives and priorities with overall business goals and objectives.
- Lead performance improvement initiatives, working closely with stakeholders to develop action plans, implement process changes, and monitor progress towards performance targets.
- Provide guidance, support, and mentorship to Performance Associates and other team members, fostering a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and high performance.
- Stay informed about industry best practices, emerging trends, and technological advancements in performance governance and optimization, and recommend relevant improvements.
- Prepare and present regular reports and updates on warehouse performance to senior management, highlighting achievements, challenges, and opportunities for improvement.
What we are looking for:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field.
- At least 5 years of experience in performance management, data analysis, or a related field, preferably in a warehouse or supply chain environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to collect, analyze, and interpret data from multiple sources to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for improvement.
- Proficiency in using data analysis tools and software, such as Microsoft Excel, SQL, Tableau, or Power BI, to manipulate and visualize data for reporting and analysis.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex information to diverse audiences and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Leadership and project management skills, with the ability to lead initiatives, coordinate efforts, and drive results in a team environment.
- Detail-oriented with a strong focus on accuracy and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team.
- Flexibility to work variable shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as needed to support operational needs.
