Job description

The Head of Viamo Platform (HVP) will be a senior member of the Viamo team and the driving force behind the Viamo Platform’s growth strategy in Nigeria. The primary purpose of the role is to substantially expand the reach of the platform and increase user engagement levels, to positively impact millions of lives.
Key Responsibilities

Lead existing MNO relationship (Airtel)

Ensure sufficient technical capacity is in place and functioning

Renegotiate rates and contracts as necessary

Develop and ensure the execution of a marketing plan

Support opportunities for cross-promotion of other MNO services

Resolve commercial issues eg related to invoicing

Build and manage a relationship with other Mobile Network Operators in Nigeria to make the Viamo Platform accessible to all subscribers nationwide

Lead and guide the Nigeria Platform team (currently a Viamo Platform Assistant and Platform Manager) to ensure quality execution of responsibilities about platform structure, content management, impact reporting, platform testing, quality control, UX, and BTL activities.

Uncover user preferences and needs:

Analyze user behavior on the platform to identify potential challenges and brainstorm innovative solutions

Conduct user/market research

Establish partnerships that will multiply and diversify the platform’s value proposition

Dynamic content

Links to products and services

Analyze the success of the platform, testing hypotheses and solutions through an iterative process and data-driven decision-making

Support the Country Director to secure new business and create monetization opportunities for the platform.

Profile

At least 5 years of experience in a Senior Product Owner/Manager role.

Experience working with mobile Value-Added Services and success in scaling reach.

A track record of growing the user base and engagement levels on a mobile product/service.

Experience and familiarity with IVR products/services.

Experience working in a cross-functional, multi-cultural team environment and working in an autonomous and entrepreneurial capacity to deliver results.

Proven management experience.

Experience in behavior change communications and/or social psychology is desirable.

Multilingual abilities, especially in local languages, are an asset.
