Are you an experienced professional in hospitality management looking to bring your skills to the healthcare sector? Veteran Mission Hospital in Syokimau, Nairobi, is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Hospitality Services Supervisor to ensure our patients and visitors receive exceptional hospitality services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and manage the daily operations of the hospital’s hospitality services, including housekeeping, catering, and laundry.
  • Ensure high standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and comfort in all areas of the hospital.
  • Supervise and train hospitality staff, including housekeepers, kitchen staff, and laundry workers.
  • Develop and implement service standards and protocols to enhance patient and visitor satisfaction.
  • Coordinate with other hospital departments to ensure seamless delivery of hospitality services.
  • Manage inventory and supplies, ensuring timely procurement and cost-effective use of resources.
  • Conduct regular inspections to ensure compliance with hospital policies and health and safety regulations.
  • Address and resolve any issues or complaints related to hospitality services promptly and professionally.
  • Monitor and evaluate the performance of hospitality staff, providing constructive feedback and support.
  • Develop and manage the hospitality services budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources.
  • Implement and oversee quality improvement initiatives to enhance service delivery.
  • Maintain accurate records of hospitality services activities, inventory, and staff performance.
  • Ensure proper maintenance and functioning of hospitality equipment and facilities.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of emergency response plans related to hospitality services.
  • Promote a culture of excellence, teamwork, and continuous improvement within the hospitality services team.

Qualifications:

  • Diploma or Degree in Hospitality Management, Hotel Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in hospitality management, preferably in a healthcare or hospital setting.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and handle multiple tasks.
  • Proficiency in using hospitality management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong commitment to providing exceptional patient and visitor experiences.
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations related to hospitality services.
