Global Forum For Development (GLOFORD) Uganda is an indigenous non-discriminatory Christian organization dedicated to community organizing and transformational development. Established in Lira in 2008, GLOFORD focuses on mentorship, advocacy, entrepreneurship, and skills exchange. The organization promotes value-based leadership and operates nationally, making significant strides in youth governance, economic empowerment, climate justice, and poverty reduction. GLOFORD’s programs have positively impacted youth participation, protection from urban violence, and sexual reproductive health rights.
Role Description
This is a part-time on-site role for a Human Resources Specialist located in Lira. The Human Resources Specialist will be responsible for developing and implementing HR policies, managing employee benefits, and overseeing personnel management. Additionally, the role involves facilitating HR management processes, ensuring compliance with organizational regulations, and supporting overall employee relations.
Qualifications
- Human Resources (HR) and Personnel Management skills
- Experience in HR Management and HR Policies
- Knowledge of Employee Benefits
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively and manage multiple tasks
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
- Experience in the non-profit sector is a plus
