We are seeking a dedicated and dynamic individual to fill the role of IBDP Phase Coordinator, and to lead
and manage the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP) at WK. Reporting directly to the
Deputy Principal Academic (DPA), the IBDP Phase Coordinator will play a key role in providing leadership for
pedagogy, curriculum, and assessment within the IBDP Phase. This individual will be responsible for the
administration and assessment of the programme, ensuring the academic needs of students are met, while
fostering strong collaboration with staff, parents, and the wider community. The IBDP Coordinator also
collaborates with the Pastoral team to provide socio-emotional support for students. The IBDP Phase
Coordinator will also teach up to 20 periods (45 minutes each) over a two-week cycle.

Responsibilities of IBDP Phase Coordinator
General Responsibilities:
To be familiar with and comply with IB regulations as published in the Handbook of procedures for the
Diploma Programme and the General regulations: Diploma Programme.
Communicate with the International Baccalaureate Organization (IBO), International Baccalaureate
Curriculum and Assessment center (IBCA) and International Baccalaureate Parent organization to the
benefit of our programme.
Maintain strong relationships with UWC-based IBDP Coordinators.
Prepare annual budgets for the IB programme and notify the DPA of the programme needs
Lead IBDP authorization process and undertake regular reviews as required by the IBO to maintain
authorization.
Participate in Academic Council and its sub-committees to provide leadership on initiatives and
interventions related to curriculum, assessment and overall pedagogy in the IBDP Phase
Liaise with staff responsible for building timetables.
Key member of the internal selection committee for Form 5 IB applications.
Advise on subjects to be offered within the IBDP programme.
Line manage the TOK Coordinator and EE Coordinator
Oversee IBDP CAS programme in liaison with CAS Coordinator

We are seeking a dedicated and dynamic individual to fill the role of IBDP Phase
Coordinator, and to lead and manage the International Baccalaureate Diploma
Programme (IBDP) at WK.
Summary:
Oversee the upload of Internal Assessments and Coursework
Work with the Learning Support Coordinator to ensure IAA documentation is submitted to IBO and all
reasonable accommodations provided for eligible students.
Enter data on the IB information system (IBIS), including candidate registration, internal assessment grades
and predicted grades
Provide DPA with analysis of assessment results and use results to drive teaching and learning as the
pedagogical leader of the Phase
Students:
Onboard IB1 students
Manage the process of subject choice for the IBDP
Oversee creation of classlists
Collaborate with Orientation team to plan and deliver IB1 Orientation and lead Academic Orientation for
IB1 students
Register students with the IBO and ensure that they meet all Diploma requirements.
Lead Admin lessons, Phase Meetings and IB Care Meetings as calendarised
In collaboration with DPA, oversee reporting in the IBDP Phase
Monitor and keep records of IBDP students’ progress, take action where necessary and communicate
appropriately with students, teachers, parents and tutors about students’ academic development.
Oversee and organize the Assessment Calendar in the IBDP Phase
Oversee and organize the running to of one internal (November) and two external examination sessions
annually (May and November) in IBDP Phase
Handle results distribution and Inquiries about results.
Collaborate with University Advisor around support for university applications, especially transcript
generation
Ensure students set targets and are able to track their own progress throughout the two year DP
Programme
Ensure Academic Integrity Policy is understood and students are kept accountable to its standards in the
Phase
Teaching Staff:
Ensure that all staff have access to relevant publications and update them with necessary information and
materials, as and when published.
Coordinate staff participation in IBDP Diploma training, workshops and conferences.
Support DP teachers’ through in-house professional development, professional learning communities and
regularly scheduled meetings
Liaise with parents where students need support, provide guidance to tutors on communication with
parents
Work with Academic Council to support documentation and planning of curriculum on Toddle in the Phase
Establish and maintain an assessment calendar of IBDP deadlines (Coursework and internal summative
assessment)
Work with the DPA to ensure the Assessment Policy is followed and complied with in the Phase
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in education or related field, with preference for a master’s degree.
A Recognised teaching qualification e.g. PGCE
5 years experience in IBDP programmes, demonstrated proficiency in IB curriculum and assessment.
5 years IB teaching experience.
Strong leadership and organizational skills to oversee IB program implementation.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills, able to build positive and productive relationships with
stakeholders effectively.
Knowledge of IB program standards and practices, and a commitment to ongoing professional
development.
