Nyanza Cooperative Union 1984 LTD is a limited liability Secondary Cooperative Society with registration No. 4152 Dated 21.04.1984. It is registered under the Co-operative Societies Act No 6 of 2013. It is owned by 253 registered Cooperative Primary Societies located within Mwanza Region. It is a member of the National Apex Organization of the Co-operative movement in Tanzania, i.e. The Tanzania Federation of Co-operatives Limited (TFC). NCU (1984) LTD one of the largest Co-operative Unions in Tanzania.
2.0 EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITIES.
Nyanza Cooperative Union invites dynamic, proactive, experienced and suitable qualified Tanzanians to fill three (3) vacancies; post of the Chief Internal Auditor (1 Position), Extension Officer (1 Position), and Information and Communication Technology Officer (1 Position)
Information and Communication Technology Officer (1)
Duties and responsibilities of the ICT Officer;
i. Develop and maintain consistent critical guidelines that are in line with the ICT Policy of the party/association and guidelines issued by the office of the Registrar of Cooperative Societies;
ii. To implement the ICT policy of the Association;
iii. To operate and coordinate the crosscutting information system of AMCOS members;
iv. Provide education to leaders, executives and members of AMCOS, so that they can start and continue using the ICT equipment for communication in their agricultural activities and production;
v. To provide guidelines, education and regular training to executives when they are stuck so that they can carry out their duties;
vi. Conduct regular research on the use of ICT for member associations and their members to determine the increase in use and the growth of efficiency in us;
vii. Providing technical advice to the Association Board on the issues related to ICT;
viii. Providing opportunities for executives to get regular ICT training to keep up with the rapid growth of Techno logy in the country and the world;
ix. Establishing and promoting access and use of ICT to the Member Primary Cooperatives in order to facilitate efficiency in their work performance;
x. To analyze and bring recommendations for the creation of computer systems that can simplify daily operations of the Union such as ‘application software’ and advertising the Association in various social networks to show the investment opportunities available in the Association;
xi. Ensuring all internal and external network infrastructures are working at the required efficiency;
xii. To strengthen the official communication between the Cooperatives, the Government and other key stakeholders through social networks and the website of the Union;
xiii. Champion, facilitate and support smooth operations of the CSMIS (MUVU) in the Union;
xiv. Managing and repairing ICT equipment and when it fails, technicians from outside will be sought under management of ICT department professionals;
xv. To monitor the entire trend of ICT equipment and identifies the equipment that obsolete/redundant and submits recommendations for proper for disposal procedure;
xvi. Develop and have a strategic plan for all member AMCOS to have effective ICT policies, expand the scope of email use and ensure that all member AMCOS have email addresses with the Union’s domain; and
xvii. Advise and support the purchase of software and ICT equipment in the office.

Qualifications and Experience
• A first university degree preferably in computer science, Information technology, network Administration/Engineering or related field preferred
• A minimum of two (2) years’ experience in providing ICT services
