The Innovations and Commercialisation Officer will support the advancement of innovative
initiatives and oversee effective communication strategies with view to enhancing the visibility

and impact of Mulungushi University’s research and innovation activities. This role bridges the
gap between research outcomes, innovation ecosystems, and stakeholders through effective
communication and innovation-driven strategies.
Qualifications and experience required:
i. Must have a Grade 12 School Certificate with at least five (05) Credits that must include
English Language and Mathematics
ii. Must have a Bachelor degree in any of the following from a reputable and accredited
University with at least a Credit: Innovation and Technology Management,
Entrepreneurship and Marketing, Business Development and Innovation, Mass
Communications, Public Relations, or Entrepreneurship
iii. Must have a Master’s degree in any of the following from a reputable and accredited
University : Technology Commercialisation, Technology and Innovation, Public Policy
Analysis, Research Commercialisation, Intellectual Property Management, Mass
Communication, Public Relations, or Innovation Management,
iv. Must have at least two (2) years of experience in innovation management,
communication, or a related role.
v. Must have knowledge of intellectual property management, technology transfer, and
commercialization processes
vi. Must have functional computer literacy
vii. Must have strong skills in content creation, digital marketing, and stakeholder
engagement
viii. Must have excellent interpersonal, organizational, and project management abilities
