The draft capacity building report was done using several assessment tools (largely qualitative) to guide results for the assessment as regards to the knowledge of child protection/child justice of all departments of the Sierra Leone Police and assess the Police Departments competencies in investigating/dealing with cases of children in contact with the law: offenders, victims, witnesses, and children in need of care and protection. This assessment would provide a base for evaluating the skill set and understanding about investigation of Gender Based Violence, and level of understanding of child protection/justice for children by police officers, in addition to their understanding about investigating and prosecuting children in contact and in conflict with the law.
The Objective Of The Assignment Is To
- Revise structure and edit the draft Capacity Building Report.
- Analyse the secondary data (including data from field exercise)
- Update the report based on the above No.s. 1 and 2
- Develop a Four year Costed Capacity Building Plan

Advanced university degree in Social Sciences
Knowledge of Qualitative and other assessment
- Knowledge of the local country context
- Work experience with UNICEF Sierra Leone is an asset
- Excellent analytical and organizational skills, including effective communication and people skills; ability to communicate and coordinate with various stakeholders and to express ideas and concepts concisely and clearly in written and oral form
