The Specific deliverables of the consultancy are:

• Inception Report detailing methodologies and frameworks to be used for the assessment
• First draft report of the assessment with preliminary findings
• Presentation of key findings in a validation meeting with CSRRG and relevant stakeholders
• Final  Report  summarizing  inputs  from  the  CSRRG,  UN  Women  and  other  RUNOs  as needed
• A 2-page advocacy brief with key findings and call to action/recommendations
• Brief power point presentation with the key findings and recommendations.
• Education Qualification and Experience:

  Education:

  • Advanced university degree in gender, sociology, demography, economics, law or other.

  Experience:

  • More than 10 years’ experience in conducting research,  evaluations, policy analysis in the areas of human rights, gender equality
  • Sound  expertise  in  gender equality  and women’s  empowerment, including policy  and strategy development
  • Strong knowledge and technical expertise on Ending Violence Against Women and Girls,
  • Knowledge of the development context of the African continent.
  • Strong  analytical,  communication  and  problem-solving  skills  as  well  as  experience  in working in a multicultural team.
  • Experience in a similar assignment is desirable.

  Language Requirements:

  • Proficiency in English is required. Working knowledge of French and Portuguese is an asset.
