Play it Forward is looking for interns who are interested in playing a leadership role in the football academy. The ideal candidates will have playing and/or coaching experience in a club/academy environment and are eager to develop their coaching skills through working with some of the most talented young players in Zambia.
ROLES & OPPORTUNITIES
Deliver on the technical football direction, full football curriculum and support the youth academy’s overall training and education program.
Coaching responsibilities with the U20, U14 & U12 boys and girls teams.
Support and deliver individual player development plans and programmes.
Support coach education and evaluation programme for our other local coaches.
DURATION & CONDITIONS
We are looking for a minimum 1-month internship commitment. Longer internships (3-6 months) help with the sustainability of the programme and therefore are also encouraged.
Most hold at least an FA Level 1 Coaching in Football Qualification or equivalent.
Must undergo a basic DBS check
The successful candidate will be responsible for covering all costs associated with flights, visa, accommodation and food. You may wish to fundraise for this or alternatively cover the costs yourself.
