Key Responsibilities
INVENTORY MANAGEMENT.
- Planning, managing & reporting on Stock takes
- Damages /waste
- Dead Stock or obsolete
- Slow Moving
- Cycle counts (daily)
- Validate daily wastages as reported by stores
- Monitor inventory management & procedures.
- Enforce finance procedures at the Warehouse and report.
COSTING
- Landed cost management
OTHER REPORTS IN ACCOUNTS.
- Work on ROPE (Monthly Results, Objectives, Planning & Execution) to your supervisor.
- Send ROI (Weekly Results, Objectives & Issues) to your supervisor by every Saturday.
PEOPLE MANAGEMENT DUTIES
- Leave plans –Ensure you plan & implement your team’s leave at the start of every year.
- Training -Coach your teams & provide technical expertise to the team.
- Performance – Set department objectives/KRAs & DDIs; Review and assess ongoing performance.
- Weekly Report on achievement of targets and identify any actions required among your team.
- Ensure policies are adhered; be the role model in adhering to policies.
- Ensuring adequate staffing levels.
- Motivate the team to operational success
- Monitor the completion of tasks and ensure good performance and record on appropriate systems
- Communicate KPIs from the annual strategic plan so that each employee is aware.
- Ensure your team send ROI (weekly Results, following week Objectives and Issues) to you by every Saturday; analyse and give timely feedback.
- Proactively contribute to creating a good team atmosphere
Skill & Experience
- 3+ years’ experience working in an import/export busy environment
Qualifications
- Degree in Procurement /Accounting/ Purchasing / Supplies / Logistics Management or any other related field.
