Key Responsibilities:
- Lead development of irrigation and agribusiness related products and services to be offered by the company to farmers, effectively contributing to the growth plans of the company
- Lead engagement with farmers and farmer groups to promote the adoption of the latest irrigation farming techniques and solar-powered technologies
- Manage customer relationships and provide technical support to ensure our customers have the tools to succeed
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement effective communication and marketing strategies to facilitate uptake of our products and services
- Conduct training sessions and workshops as needed from time to time
- Monitor and report on progress, identifying areas for improvement
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies to continuously improve our offerings
Requirements:
- Bachelor of Science in Agriculture Technology, Irrigation Engineering or related field
- A relevant Master of Science in Irrigation Engineering is advantageous
- Proven experience in irrigation management, farming, or a related field
- Strong understanding and experience in application of broader agribusiness principles will be considered an asset
- Strong understanding of solar-powered irrigation systems and sustainable farming practices
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to think critically and solve problems effectively
- Passion for contributing to Malawi’s socio-economic development
- Fluency in English (written and spoken) and Chichewa. Understanding of other local languages will be considered an asset.
