Responsibilities:
– Plan and deliver IsiXhosa language lessons in accordance with the school’s curriculum and guidelines
– Create a positive and inclusive learning environment for students
– Assess and evaluate student progress and provide feedback to students and parents
– Collaborate with other teachers and staff to support student learning and development
– Participate in professional development opportunities to improve teaching skills and knowledge
– Foster a love for IsiXhosa language and culture in students through engaging and interactive lessons
– Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and behavior
Qualifications:
– Bachelor’s degree in Education or related field
– Valid teaching certification or license in IsiXhosa
– Proven experience teaching IsiXhosa language to students of various ages
– Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
– Strong organizational and time management skills
– Ability to work effectively in a team environment
– Understanding of and respect for diverse cultures and backgrounds
Preferred Qualifications:
– Advanced degree in IsiXhosa language or related field
– Previous experience teaching IsiXhosa language in a multicultural setting
– Knowledge of best practices in second language acquisition
– S.A.C.E. Accreditation
