- Develop design concepts & specifications & provide subject matter expertise for physical access control, video surveillance (camera) & analytics, perimeter intrusion detection & other physical security protection systems.
- Assist in the implementation of all physical security system projects, policies & procedures within their area of responsibility.
- Take hands on lead in developing, installing, implementing & managing integrated security solutions.
- Resolve complex system issues related to physical security systems & infrastructure.
- Troubleshoot system performance issues & implement corrective actions.
- Perform preventive maintenance actions including system back ups, error log reviews, database size & integrity checks.
- Evaluate & recommend commercial (COTS) applications & products.
- Conduct research & post installation testing & analysis of systems.
- Provides physical security recommendations to meet & maintain compliance with organization & industry security standards.
- Provide computer, peripheral & software support for systems & devices associated with the access control & video surveillance systems.
- Actively monitor systems & troubleshoot system errors & malfunctions.
- Respond to emergencies during or after hours to resolve immediate safety / security & system concerns.
- Train end users on security system operation & other system support personnel.
- Prepare, maintain & update electronic inventories of security hardware, software, product documentation & project drawings.
