Job description

AMI is looking for an ambitious and talented Learner Success Associate (LSA) to join our growing team in Uganda. The LSA will be a key addition to the Ugandan team, providing  all round support to ensure that we are providing the best experience to our Learners, Clients and Partners. The LSA will primarily be involved in the  implementation of cutting- edge blended and virtual learning programs as the face of AMI to our Enterprise clients. The LSA will also support the implementation of country growth marketing strategies to drive client acquisition, engagement and retention across the main business units. This is a chance for a driven, organized, tech-savvy professional with good people and project-management skills, and the ability to analyze an organization and understand its learning and development needs.

Responsibilities:

Learner Experience: Supporting learners to make the most of their learning journey with AMI;

  • Using and adapting engagement plans to support learners throughout their Learning Journey with AMI
  • Managing the online learning experience for participants, including creating learning journeys and managing an online learning academy
  •  Providing group and 1-on-1 support to help learners to get started and navigate AMI’s online learning platform
  • Proactively problem-solving, flagging and following up on tech-related challenges with AMI’s Tech Team

Programme Management: Implementing the roll-out of AMI’s core programmes;

  • Mapping out a project plan, with clear timelines and priorities
  • Co-facilitating programme kick-offs
  •  Liaising with your assigned facilitator to ensure that all learning content is shared timeously
  • Setting up and managing in-person / virtual touchpoints (Learning Labs) throughout the programme
  • Regularly checking / quality assuring data reflected in data dashboards to identify anomalies

Programme Completion: Regularly engage with learners to ensure they are on track to successfully complete their learning programme with AMI and have gained maximum

value from their engagement with AMI

  • Working with AMI’s data team to update and use cohort-level dashboards to regularly review key programme data points to assess progress against programme milestones
  • Flagging off-track or at-risk learners and working with the Lead: Learner Success to proactively problem- solve how to help learners to get back on track
  • Regularly presenting cohort progress to internal stakeholders
  • Providing up-to-date data and feedback about cohort progress to enable accurate and on-time reporting by the Client Success team
  • Collect data for strategic projects to drive response rates for longitudinal and annual impact data collection

 Supporting the Learner Success team;

  • Participating in programme schedules, programme milestones and programme activities
  •  Supporting logistics for in-person / virtual Learning Labs
  •  Assisting members of the Learner Success team with one-on-one engagement as needed

Marketing Support: Collaborating with the Country Growth Marketing Lead to implement country marketing strategies across business units

  • Supporting with event management including attendee follow-ups, set up and post-event engagement
  • Supporting with the development of potential client lead lists with the BDM
  • Supporting with marketing related administrative tasks

Peer Support: Actively participating in team collaboration days, regularly sharing learnings and best practice.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree from a recognized institution
  • A minimum of Three (3) years’ experience in business consulting, company training, enterprise development or management education.
  • Marketing experience (1 year is OK)​
  • Strong analytical skills – ability to understand and analyze learning and development needs
  • Ability to identify business challenges and turn them into learning and development solutions
  • Proven program management skills and experience
  • Experience working in an entrepreneurial or high-growth environment
  • Outstanding communication skills – both written and verbal with the ability to liaise confidently with clients
  • Ability to work with a diverse, high-performing, entrepreneurial team across Africa
  • Independent, self-motivated, and able to take full ownership of own work streams
  • Training and facilitation skills are an advantage
