The primary responsibility of the ASN Faculty member is teaching undergraduate nursing didactic and/or clinical courses; advising ASN students; maintaining involvement in University, College, School, ASN Program, and professional service; and contributing to the nursing body of knowledge through personal and collaborative service.
Minimum Qualifications
. An earned graduate degree in nursing
2. An active, unencumbered Alabama registered nurse license, or a multistate registered nurse license issued by a party state
3. Academic and experiential qualifications to teach in the area assigned
4. A minimum of at least three years of employment as a registered nurse
Preferred Qualifications
1. Doctoral degree in nursing or related field
2. National certification
3. Teaching experience in nursing education
4. Simulation experience
