Effectively contribute to the successful learning experiences of students through effective teaching that meets or exceeds the standards of the institution and results in high levels of student retention and achievement, and course management as required.
MAIN DUTIES
- Deliver high quality teaching to students
- Design, develop and review teaching activities and materials
- Maintain an understanding of professional practice in the Media industry to inform personal teaching practice
- Contribute to program review and design
- Give effective advice, guidance and feedback to students, to support their academic progress
- Enhance student experience and outcomes by exposing students to practical industry activities.
- Prepare and mark student assessments
- Come up with a teaching guides and work plans.
- All lecturers are encouraged to engage in research activities, attend local and international conferences and publish their research findings in reputable journals and write books as appropriate.
The Candidate must be competent in the following courses;
- Sub Editing
- Photo Journalism
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED
- Grade Twelve Certificate,
- Bachelor’s Degree in a related field from a reputable University
- At least 3 years of experience.
