Duties: the successful applicant will:
(i) teach both undergraduate and graduate courses;
(ii) conduct research in the areas of expertise;
(iii) provide service to the university, profession and community;
(iv) provide diagnostic support in affiliated hospital laboratories; and
(v) carry out any other duties as assigned by the Head of the department.
Requirements: the successful applicant should have:
(i) a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS, MBChB, MD) or equivalent qualification;
(ii) a Master of Medicine (MMed) or equivalent in Anatomical Pathology from a recognised institution;
(iii) the qualification must be registered with or registrable by the Botswana Health Professions Council as a specialist in Anatomical Pathology;
(iv) evidence of engagement in research, including published journal articles, presenting scholarly work at seminars and conferences locally as well as internationally, participation in research teams and collaborative programmes, participation in reference committees and participation in peer review of manuscripts.
