Applicants are invited from suitably qualified candidates for the post of Lecturer in Computer Science Education in the Department of Mathematics and Science Education, Faculty of Education.
Duties: The successful candidate will be expected to:
(i) teach computer science education courses to undergraduate and graduate students;
(ii) supervise students on internship/teaching practice;
(iii) supervise students’ research projects, theses and dissertations at both undergraduate and graduate levels
(iv) be involved in the CSEdBotswana activities
(v) Undertake any other duties as assigned by the Head of Department from time to time.
Requirements:
(i) a Doctoral degree in Computer Science Education or equivalent;
(ii) a master’s degree in computer science education or equivalent.
(iii) a bachelor’s degree in computer science education or equivalent;
(iv) evidence of engagement in research (v) Experience in teaching computer science education at college/university level or its equivalence, social engagements and governance will be added advantages.
N.B. Applicants with Master’s Degree in Computer Science Education or related field with a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science Education of at least 2(i) pass/GPA of at least 3.6 or equivalent may be considered under special circumstances.
