Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates for the post of Lecturer in Science Education in the Department of Primary Education, Faculty of Education.

Duties: 

The successful candidate will be expected to:

(i) Teach Science Education courses to undergraduate and graduate students;

(ii) supervise students on internship/teaching practice;

(iii) supervise students’ research projects, theses and dissertations at both undergraduate and graduate levels

(iv) Undertake any other duties assigned by the Head of Department from time to time.

Requirements:  Applicants should have: 

(i) a Doctoral degree in Science Education or related field;

(ii) a Master’s degree in Science Education with specialisation in Physics.

(iii) a Bachelor’s degree of Education with specialisation in Physics or Bachelor’s degree in Physics plus PDGE;

(iv) evidence of engagement in research

(v) social engagements and governance as well as teaching experience at university or comparable institution will be added advantages.
