Duties: The successful candidate will be expected to:
(i) Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in Urban and Regional Planning, Climate Change and Sustainable Cities;
(ii) Supervise both undergraduate and graduate student research projects;
(iii) Participate in other academic and professional activities of the department including research, governance and social engagement;
(iv) and carry out any other duties as may be assigned by the Head of Department.
Requirements: Applicants should have:
(i) a PhD in Urban Panning or related areas;
(ii) a Master’s Degree in Urban and Regional Planning or equivalent;
(iii) a Bachelor’s Degree in Urban and Regional Planning or cognate field;
(iv) show evidence of engagement in research on Climate Change and Sustainable Cities. Evidence of governance and social engagement in Urban Planning or related fields, as well as teaching experience at a university or comparable institution will be an added advantage.
N.B. Applicants with Master in Urban Planning or related field of at least 2(i) pass/GPA of at least 3.6 on a 5-point scale or equivalent in their Bachelor’s Degree in Planning may be considered under special circumstances
