To support our operations, we are seeking motivated, results-driven, and ethical Loans Officers to join our team.
Position Summary
The Loans Officer will be responsible for marketing loan products, assessing clients’ creditworthiness, managing loan portfolios, and ensuring timely loan repayments while maintaining high portfolio quality and strong client relationships.
Key Responsibilities
Loan Processing & Client Assessment

Evaluate and process loan applications in line with company policies and lending guidelines

Conduct client assessments, including credit analysis, business appraisals, and field visits

Verify client information and ensure completeness and accuracy of loan documentation
Portfolio Management
-
Monitor loan performance to ensure timely repayments
-
Maintain a healthy loan portfolio with a low Portfolio at Risk (PAR)

Follow up on overdue loans and implement recovery strategies
Client Support & Financial Advisory

Provide financial guidance to clients to promote proper loan utilization

Educate clients on loan terms, repayment schedules, and financial discipline

Build and maintain strong, long-term client relationships
Risk Management & Reporting

Identify potential credit risks and recommend mitigation measures

Prepare and submit accurate credit appraisal reports and portfolio updates

Ensure compliance with internal controls and regulatory requirements
Minimum Qualifications & Requirements
-
Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Business Administration, Finance, Microfinance, or a related field
-
Strong analytical, negotiation, and customer service skills
-
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
-
High level of integrity, accountability, and professionalism
-
Ability to work independently, meet targets, and perform under pressure
-
Must be 28 years of age or below
