Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assists FSCO in collecting, updating, and communicating information regarding the security situation in the country.
- Assists with data acquisition and manipulation for graphic report presentations.
- Assists in maintaining the Security Plan, including updating staff lists.
- Supports the FSCO with the assessment of Security Risk Management Measures (SRMM) for the duty station.
- Assists in reporting security incidents affecting UN staff, offices, and assets.
- Organizes and delivers training courses on security awareness and preparedness.
- Assists in ensuring Residential Security Measures, office safety, and security preparedness.
- Provides general administrative assistance to the FSCO.
- Organise and Conduct Security Training
- Performs any other security-related tasks assigned by the FSCO.
- Minimum Requirements:
Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent is required. University Degree in Political Science, Military Studies, Security Management, Management or a relevant field is highly desirable, but is not a requirement.
Experience:
- 6 years relevant experience for High school diploma and 3 years relevant experience for University Degree in security, preferably in the military or police context or related field of work.
- Prior experience with the UN system or an international NGO, are desirable.
Language requirements:
- Fluency in English with effective written and oral communication skills required.
- Fluency in the local language of the duty station is required.
