- Leadership in Operations: Provide strong leadership for warehouse operations, ensuring efficient management of shifts, transportation, and packaging.

- Coordinate key business support activities required to operate facilities effectively, including (but not limited to): Safety, Security & Facilities Management, Quality Management, Supply Chain Management.
- Continuous Improvement: Lead and participate in continuous improvement projects, driving operational excellence and aligning with Cummins Operating System.
- Team Development: Manage and develop the supply chain and warehousing teams, setting goals for training, development, performance, and career planning.
- Strategic Planning: Lead the annual operating plan, forecasts, and other key measurements to ensure effective Parts Distribution Center operations and ensuring the correct stocking levels of parts for key customers.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Foster collaborative relationships with customers, suppliers, stakeholders, and staff to create common supply chain processes and procedures.
- Performance Monitoring: Analyze operational trends, develop corrective action plans, and manage key performance indicators to achieve performance targets.
- Controls: Create an effective Controls environment ensuring that all procedures and protocols regarding stock management are adhered to.
- Inventory: Maintain optimum Inventory levels and ensure optimisation of costs for the business.
RESPONSIBILITIES
To be successful in this role you will need the following:
- Financial Acumen: Develop procedures to prevent irregular, unauthorized, and wasteful expenditure, ensuring value for money in the payment of goods and services, and eliminate financial mismanagement in the supply chain process.
- Strong Warehouse Management Skills: Ensure all controls for warehouse management are in place, utilizing tools, systems, and methodologies to meet defined metrics for inbound and outbound operations.
- Effective Inventory Management: Oversee inventory to maintain optimum levels, identify obsolete parts timely, and support mining customers to minimize downtime.
- Leadership and Team Development: Set performance objectives for the team, manage SCM staff through regular performance monitoring and appraisals, and ensure ongoing training and development of employees.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education/ Experience
- A university degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related subject is required. An MBA is preferred.
- Understanding of licensing requirements for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.
- 10 years of relevant work experience in supply chain management or a related field.
