What you will be doing:

Responsible for coordinating the storage, transportation and delivery of goods. You will oversee and liaise with colleagues to ensure stock is maintained and moved efficiently.

  • Track queues and backlogs
  • Monitor operations quality
  • Monitor network dispatch operations and manage the team
  • Coordinate capacity and frequency with dispatch agents and 3PL
  • Train teams and solve issues
  • Implement scalable processes to sustain the growth
  • Lead continuous improvement projects
  • Might require frequent travel within regions
  • Challenging established processes and implementing new processes to adapt to the fast growth of Jumia Supply Chain clients
  • Managing relationships with clients and partners (Third party logistics partners)

What we are looking for:

Bachelors. Degree (Business Administration, Logistics- supply chain, Economics, Engineering or equivalent)

Advanced Excel to create macros, pivot tables, VLOOKUPS, analytical capabilities and work books.

Relevant professional certification in Logistics or supply chain management will be an added advantage

8 years minimum experience, preferably in a manufacturing, production or distribution environment with a strong focus on logistics or alternatives logistics company

Ability to lead large and remote teams

Hardworking, result oriented, methodical, very structured

Pro-active, both autonomous and team player, Flexible

Ability to negotiate and communicate in flawless English

Demonstrated competency in data reporting and analysis

Experience or high level of comfort in logistics operations

Familiarity with working in a culturally diverse environment

Excellent People, Problem-solving, Negotiation, Time management and Coordination skills.

Self-Driven and great independent follow-through Ability

Strong entrepreneurial skills, leadership, and drive

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
