Setting and Reporting: The positions is located in the Office of the Smart Camp Project Manager and reports directly to the Project Manager.
Eligibility Criteria
Education:
- Advanced university degree (Master’s degree or equivalent degree) in business administration, public administration, engineering, supply chain management or other relevant field. A first-level university degree in combination with two additional years of qualifying experience may be accepted in lieu of the advanced university degree.
Job – Specific Qualification:
- Recognised certification in transportation and logistics is desirable.
Work Experience:
- A minimum of ten (10) years of progressively responsible experience in acquisition and distribution in supply chain management in a senior position is required.
- A minimum of seven (7) years leadership experience obtained while working within a Supply Chain Mission Support Division position in a peacekeeping operation is required.
- Experience in supporting complex construction projects in an austere environment with challenging supply lines contributing to deliverables as per the Action for Peacekeeping (A4P and A4P+) initiative is required.
- Previous experience as acting as OIC in a similar role delivering project deliverables inclusive of scope, schedule, and quality requirements is desirable.
Languages:
- English and French are the working languages of the United Nations Secretariat. For this post, fluency in English is required. Knowledge of another UN official language is an advantage.
