ESSENTIAL DUTIES
1. Prepare variance reports for each department and make appropriate
recommendations on budgetary performance/department expenses.
2. Participate in the preparation and review of the Government planning documents such
as Budget Framework Paper, Ministerial Policy Statement, National Development Plan
among others and providing resulting insights to the CFO for decision making.
3. Participate in the development of quarterly and annual work plans for UNOC and its
subsidiaries.
4. Participate in the review of departmental work plans and budgets for the joint venture
partners of UNOC and its subsidiaries.
5. Coordinate and prepare management accounts monthly.
6. Regularly review the general ledgers to ensure that balances held are accurate.
7. Carry out Cost Benefit Analyses of UNOC projects as well as other financial evaluations.
8. Participate in the creation and evaluation of business strategies to generate
shareholder value.
9. Participate in the budget rationalisation process as required by Ministry Finance,
Planning & Economic Development.
Qualifications & Experience
a) Degree (Hons) in Finance, Business Administration, Accounting, Economics or other
related fields.
b) Possession of at least Level II of Professional Membership (ACCA / CPA) is an added
advantage
c) A minimum of four (4) years of experience in an accounting profession from a
reputable organization.
d) Experience in Oil and Gas is an added advantage
