Job Purpose: To manage the financial resources of the company through planning, budgeting, financial reporting, and ensuring effective internal controls for sound financial management and sustainability.
Key responsibilities
1. Coordinate the preparation and implementation of the company’s annual budgets and financial plans.
2. Prepare financial statements and reports toenhance informed decision making by management following generally accepted accounting principles.
3. Monitors revenue collection, expenditure, and cash flow management to ensure financial
discipline and sustainability.
4. Reconcile departmental budgets and support maintenance of proper accounting records,
books of accounts, and asset registers.
5. Implement and enforce internal controls, financial policies, and procedures.
6. Implement financial regulations to enable compliance with tax and statutory obligations, including filing of returns and remittance of deductions.
7. Approve work plans and monitor performance of finance and stores staff to ensure compliance with accounting procedures.
8. Coordinates internal and external audit exercises and facilitates timely implementation of audit recommendations.
Job specifications
• Bachelor’s degree (honours) and Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related
field from a recognized institution.
• Must have a full professional qualification such as CPA, ACCA, or equivalency and Membership
