•  Installing, maintaining, and servicing of all plant equipment.
• Performing routine preventive maintenance and planned maintenance repairs on mechanical systems and equipment based on the system parameters in order to minimize breakdowns.
• Installing, inspecting, repairing, maintaining, modifying, servicing, and carrying out alteration and testing of all mechanical machinery, equipment, and systems.
• Disassembling appliances so that problems can be diagnosed and repairs be done.
• Assessing and ordering required material and spares in advance through the maintenance manager in order to complete work effectively.
• Providing onsite quality control by inspecting works for conformance with specifications, requirements, and compliance with safety regulations.

• Performing works in accordance with established safety rules, instructions, and company procedures.

The Required Qualifications are:

• A full Grade 12 certificate
• Certificate in Mechanical fitting or Engineering. A diploma is an added advantage.
• 3 – 5 years of experience
• Experience in the leather industry is an added advantage.
• Member of EIZ
