We are seeking a skilled and dependable Mechanical Technician to strengthen our technical service team.
Job Purpose
The Mechanical Technician will be responsible for the installation, servicing, repair, and maintenance of generators, engines, and other mechanical power equipment to ensure optimal performance and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
Installation & Commissioning

Install generators, engines, and mechanical power systems at client sites.

Conduct testing and commissioning of equipment to ensure proper operation.

Interpret technical manuals, drawings, and specifications during installations.
Maintenance & Repairs
-
Perform routine preventive maintenance and servicing of generators and mechanical equipment.

Diagnose mechanical faults and carry out timely repairs.

Replace worn or defective parts and components.

Conduct emergency breakdown repairs when required.
Inspection & Troubleshooting

Inspect equipment to identify potential issues and recommend corrective actions.

Troubleshoot mechanical, engine, and system failures.

Maintain accurate service and maintenance records.
Workshop & Field Support

Support workshop operations including overhauls and refurbishments.

Respond to field service calls and provide on-site technical support.

Ensure proper handling, storage, and use of tools and spare parts.
Health, Safety & Compliance
-
Follow safety procedures and company policies during all technical tasks.

Ensure tools and equipment are used safely and properly maintained.

Maintain cleanliness and organization of the workshop and work areas.

Adhere to environmental and safety standards.
Customer Support
-
Explain maintenance procedures and usage guidelines to customers.

Provide professional and courteous service at all times.
-
Support after-sales service and warranty claims when required.
Qualifications & Experience
-
Certificate or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Mechanics, or related technical field.

Minimum 2–3 years’ hands-on experience working with generators, engines, or heavy mechanical equipment.

Experience in generator installation and servicing is highly preferred.

Knowledge of diesel and petrol engine systems.
-
Valid driving or riding permit is an added advantage.
