Main Duties
1. Maintain and submit KPI reports related to safety and environment for mining operations and haulage .
2. Submit monthly volumetric surveys addressing tonnages extracted from pits and overburden materials and update monthly topography map.
3. Develop short-term mining plan ensuring the pits designs are adhered and proper management of stripping ratios ensuring no contaminations of ore/waste materials.
4. Supervising drilling and blasting operations in accordance with standard operating procedure (SOP) ensuring raw mix targets are achieved.
5. Supervising loading operation, ensuring quality (rock size & moisture) and quantity of materials loaded are according to required plan.
6.Submit reconciliation reports carried with Service Provider on mining and haulage operations.
7. In-depth knowledge of mining operations, production, maintenance, process control and health and safety management
8. Adhere to all safety protocols, follow safety guidelines to prevent accidents, injuries, and environmental incidents. Report any safety hazards, incidents or near misses to management.
9. Ensure OSHA compliance with the company and statutory requirements.
10. Compliance to HC Group Code of Business Conduct, Compliance Polices and Guidelines
11. Perform any other duties as may be assigned by the Supervisor
Minimum Requirements (Qualifications)
1.Possession of a Bachelor’s Degree in Mining Engineering or related field.
2. Five(5) or more years surface mining operations with valid blasting certificate.
3. Strong working knowledge of all aspects of drilling, blasting and loading and hauling activities, quality standards and inventory management.
4. Supervisory experience and very well-developed leadership skills.
5. Good knowledge on MS Office, mining/blasting software and other applications in mining surveys.
6. Organizing, budgeting, and planning skill with initiative and pro-activeness
