Specific responsibilities include:
Work closely with RHCC and PATH in-country teams, national and state malaria elimination programs to develop standard tracking systems for monitoring project indicators to support monitoring and evaluating of the overall project goals and objectives
Work closely with PATH in-country teams and data and analytics teams to document and standardize surveillance data processing procedures
Contribute to analysis of routine malaria surveillance, programmatic and project data
Develop a project database and reporting platform, including with dashboards, for ensuring programmatic results are available to the project team and other stakeholders
Contribute to the development and implementation of strategies for synthesizing and disseminating key results, programmatic lessons learned, methodologies developed and other project outputs
Collaborate with the NMEP and NPHCDA and national and state levels to ensure compliance with reporting standards for joint indicators
Participate in evaluations of project evaluations and planned analyses of project support for community case management systems in Nigeria
Contribute to annual and ad hoc reports on project progress and impact
Collaborate with team members, partner organizations, national malaria programs, and donors in work planning and project implementation as needed
Develop data collection tools and forms, guidelines standard operating procedures, and training manuals and materials for various project reporting needs
Coordinate/participate/facilitate project team and partner meetings
Conduct field visits as needed for the project
Prepare and collaborate on project/technical briefs, manuscripts, and PowerPoint presentations
Required Experience:
Advanced university degree in public health, health system management, health economics, health statistics, epidemiology or related field.
Minimum of three years of experience working in disease surveillance, M&E and/or research, ideally in malaria projects
Demonstrated excellent oral and written communications skills, including report writing and editing
Demonstrated ability to translate assessments and findings into learning, directional focus and action, with respect to surveillance systems
Excellent organization, time management, attention to detail, and ability to appropriately prioritize competing tasks
Proven ability to work in a dynamic team environment with minimal supervision, anticipating needs and requests
Cultural sensitivity and diplomacy in communicating with a broad and diverse audience
Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite including Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, SharePoint, and Teams
Strong quantitative data management and analysis skills with proficiency in statistical software packages such as Stata or R
Willingness and ability to travel estimated at 30% of the time when travel is allowed
Experience with DHIS2 highly desirable
