Job description

The Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning Officer will coordinate all monitoring, evaluation and learning activities for this award in Sierra Leone.

Responsibilities:

  • Monitors the progress of MNCH activities; develops charts and prepares periodic and ad hoc reports.
  • Provide continuous targeted mentorship to facility and community health care providers on correct use and proper documentation of standard national data capture and reporting tools.
  • Provide technical support to health facilities in ensuring that data are accurately captured, analyzed on monthly basis, used for decision making and reported to the DHMT according to set guidelines.
  • Conduct quarterly DQA in selected health facilities in collaboration with the DHMT focal persons.
  • Support DHMT in ensuring that data from health facilities are accurately collated and reported according to set guidelines.
  • Prepare clearly written technical and analytical reports and document best practices and share lessons learned from implementation RMNCH activities.
  • Perform data review, entry, and cleaning in the management of quantitative and qualitative data sets.
  • Contribute to the preparation of Tables, charts and figures for internal program guidance and external publications.
  • Develop and maintain the training database to adequately all track participants who have received training and measure knowledge gained.
  • Monitor quality improvement practices at the health facilities.
  • Participate in relevant Ministry of Health technical working groups and external meetings.
  • Any other duty assigned.

 Educational and Professional Experience Requirements:

  • A Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Public Health, Social Sciences, or other relevant discipline.
  • Minimum 5 years working on monitoring and evaluation of public health programs.
