ABOUT UGANDA TOURISM BOARD
Uganda Tourism Board (UTB) is a statutory organization established by Uganda Tourism Board Statute of 1994 and reconstituted by the Tourism Act 2008 with the following Statutory Objectives:
To promote and contribute to the development of tourism sector both within and outside Uganda.
To coordinate with the Ministry responsible for tourism and the private sector in the implementation of the National Tourism Policy.
To carry out any other activities as are incidental or conducive to the attainment of the two objectives specified above.

JOB TITLE: Monitoring, Evaluation & Research Officer
SALARY SCALE: T5
DEPARTMENT: Quality Assurance
DUTY STATION: UTB Headquarters
REPORTS TO: Senior Product development & Research Officer
SUPERVISES: None
MAIN PURPOSE OF THE JOB
Design and implement an effective Monitoring and Evaluation system for UTB while running the support function of research, collecting
QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Minimum qualifications is a Bachelor’s Degree in statistics or Economics or Developmental Economics.
- Desired additional qualifications are post graduate diploma and/or Master’s degree in M&E. Economics or Statistics.
- Knowledge of M&E frameworks and abiity to design data collection tools
- Report writing and data visualisation skills
- Three years experience in Research Projects. Monitoring & Evaluation and Data collection & analysis in a reputable organization
SKILLS
- Data analysis skills using software like MsExcel, SPSS, STATA, R,KoboToobox etc
- Strong analytical and problem-solving
- Excellent communication and report writing skills.
- Research/ Knowledge Management
- Planning Skills
- Monitoring and Evaluation skills

- Excellent Computer skils
- Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ablity to work in a team setting Excellent presentation skils
