The purpose of the position is to ensure compliance with Plan’s corporate systems and to generate data for routine monitoring processes. The role contributes to strengthening the MERL function of the country office and providing relevant support to the MERL Manager for effective and efficient monitoring, evaluation, research and learning.
DIMENSIONS OF ROLE
- Responsible for corporate systems management System Application Product (SAP), System Application Product Business Intelligence (SAP BI Online), Program Monitoring, Evaluation, Research and Learning (PMER), Telerivet Feedback System, KoboCollect, Evaluation & Research tracker, Program library) and for data quality control in MERL databases
- Supports high-quality MERL through the provision of information and learning from corporate systems
- Member of Country Office MERL unit
- Does not line manage another person.

Accountabilities
1. Availability of high-quality data from corporate systems and databases for planning and monitoring
Activities
- Support planning and monitoring of the Country Strategy (CS) and projects through information generated from corporate systems and databases
- Manage SAP-Program module/other cooperate systems to ensure consistency and integrity of data for reporting;
- Ensure SAP, PMEL, Telerivet, KoboCollect, and other cooperate systems have quality databases
- Effectively manage the Telerivet Feedback System to allow feedback from community participants and other stakeholders. Also, analyse these feedbacks for effective programming.
- Provide training and technical support on the corporate systems to staff
- Review projects entered in SAP/PMERL and other cooperate systems for quality compliance
- Monitor project outputs via SAP/PMERL/KoboCollect and other cooperate systems and prepare reports about projects at risk
- Lead the development of databases for indicator tracking in sponsorship and grant projects
- Support database management for sponsorship and grants projects
- Develop and manage the Geographic Information System(s) (GIS) for program data
2. Improved planning and data quality control in evaluation and research (E&R) projects
Activities
- Upload the annual Evaluation and Research (E&R) plan to the E&R tracker and Plan Library after approval from program management
- Implement key Knowledge Management (KM) strategies to make sure that every as aspect of the work adheres to Plan International Sierra Leone KM principles and guidelines.
- Control confidentiality, security, storage and destruction of data collected during E&R initiatives in line with the global E&R standards
- Provide regular reports on the E&R tracker and program library status
