BAVI is seeking a passionate and experienced instructor to deliver training under the National Diploma in Animal Production & Management program. The successful candidate will play a key role in equipping students with practical and theoretical knowledge in modern animal production and farm management.
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
- Teach and assess students following the diploma curriculum and NCDC/UVTAB standards.
- Prepare lesson plans, teaching aids, and instructional materials.
- Deliver both theoretical and practical sessions in livestock management, animal health, and feed production.
- Supervise students during farm practicals, internships, and research activities.
- Maintain accurate student records and evaluate learning progress.
- Participate in curriculum review and development.
- Ensure safety and welfare of animals during training activities.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Minimum Qualifications & Experience:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Animal Production, Animal Science, or a related field from a recognized institution.
- A teaching qualification is an added advantage.
- At least two (2) years of experience in teaching or practical farm management.
- Familiarity with the UVTAB standards/modulars and national curriculum requirements is desirable.
