MINIMUM ORGANIZATIONAL REQUIREMENTS
Education: Advanced university degree (master’s degree) in economics, engineering, sciences, agro-industries, environment, business administration, or other relevant discipline is required.
Technical and Functional Experience:
- At least five (5) years of professional experience in coordinating the implementation of development/technical cooperation programmes/projects at national level, is required.
- Demonstrated expertise in energy efficiency (EE) projects, including designing, implementing, or managing EE initiatives in the industrial sector is required.
- Experience in evaluating the needs conditions and problems of the country or similar country in the region is required.
- Experience/knowledge of other development agencies donor communities, private sectors, government and relevant institutions in the country, or similar country in the region is desirable.
- Proven track record of engaging with government agencies, private sector entities, and international organizations to coordinate multi-stakeholder projects is required.
- Experience in contributing to national or regional policies, strategies, or action plans, particularly in energy efficiency or environmental sustainability is required.
- Familiarity with clean technology platforms or private sector-led energy initiatives is desirable.
- Practical experience in implementing e-waste management strategies or policies is desirable.
- Understanding of Zimbabwe’s energy sector, industrial landscape, and regulatory environment is required.
- Familiarity with Zimbabwe’s National Energy Efficiency Policy (NEEP) or similar frameworks is desirable.
Languages: Fluency in written and spoken English is required. Fluency or working knowledge of another UN language is desirable.
