Key Job Responsibilities:
- Assist with and/or lead network projects, installations, upgrades, troubleshooting and support, including participating in region network activities.
- Assist with technical consultation in the design and development of infrastructure network systems to ensure a robust and stable environment.
- Create bill of materials, recommendations for new and/or existing network installations around the mine site.
- Liaise with 3rd party vendors as required in order to manage delivery of work per FQM standards and procedures.
- Assist in maintaining network documentation to facilitate consistency, quality of installations, systems upgrades and recovery/ repair.
- Assist in developing and implementing processes to address problem management, change management and performance monitoring, in order to support effective operational management.
- Provide relevant feedback to team and effectively communicate project status and information to stakeholders.
- Completing wireless site surveys for Point to Point links and Wireless LAN implementations, including working at heights.
- Assist with fibre optic/GPON surveys, testing, installing and terminating new fibre optic cable, whilst ensuring documentation remains current.
- Ensure tactful communication of difficult/sensitive information.
- Provide support for network infrastructure in an on-call rotation.
- Ensure adherence to and implementation of Group ICT standards and policies.

Experience & Qualification:
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in network systems with a technical combination of structured cabling, network design/documentation, support and monitoring
- Cisco networking skills and experience
- Ubiquiti Unifi AP and Unifi Air Fibre knowledge and experience
- Diagnosing and troubleshooting issues within an IPv4 environment
- Competence in copper cable terminations and splicing/testing of fibre optic cables, including generating the associated reports and documentation
- Administrative experience with skills to support and maintain network infrastructure and documentation aligned to FQM requirements
- N+ Certification (required)
- CCNA (required)
- FOA Certified (preferred)
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent (preferred)
- Current driving license
- Member of ICTAZ
