Main Purpose of the Job To assist the registered Nurse is responsible for patient care by promoting health, preventing illness, and the care of the ill and disabled. Patient Screening

• Review the patient’s medical chart prior to their appointment and have a clear understanding of the treatment required

• Taking of vital signs of patients, namely temperature, pulse, blood pressure, height, weight, and oxygen saturation

• Respond telephonically to clinicians to answer questions or attain details relating to treatments

• Prepare equipment and examination room ensuring proper sterilization and safety procedures are followed

• Evaluate and assess patient treatment needs through history taking, testing, and reviewing medical records

• Conducting Cervical Cancer Screening

• Conducting COVID 19 Screening

• Health education regarding screening tests being performed

• Reporting of any anomalies detected. Patient Care

• Dressing of wounds as required

• Dispensing of medication as prescribed

• Carrying Doctors orders • Educate patients, family members or caretakers, regarding the patient’s treatment plan

• Counselling of patients as required

• Discuss patient’s treatment modality with physicians, surgeons, and healthcare team

• Referral of patients to specialists as required

• Reporting of any anomalies detected

• Schedule follow-up treatments for patients Administration

• Create and implement treatment care plans tailored to each patient’s needs

• Document patient medical progress and treatment; record notes to update medical records

• Maintain accurate patient records and ensure confidentiality

• Keeping accurate patient statistics

• Develop, maintain, and oversee weekly/monthly reports

• Physical verification of the quantities and condition of stock

• Ensure medications and other consumables are controlled to avoid wastage and or pilfering

• Reporting of any anomalies or concerns. Key Performance Indicators

• Registered as a Professional Nurse with the Eswatini Nursing Council
