- The Nursing Officer is responsible for providing quality nursing services to all staff, students and
surrounding communities. - Qualifications, Experience and Competencies:
1. A Diploma in Nursing or a Diploma in comprehensive Nursing or equivalent from a recognised
institution.
2. A Degree in Nursing from a recognised institution is an added advantage.
3. Evidence of training in a specialised area is added advantage.
4. Have at least two (2) years of proven working experience in a health facility.
5. Must be registered with the Nurses and Midwives Council.
6. Have a demonstrable excellent track record of high ethical standards and professionalism.
7. A mature and practicing Christian who subscribes to the University’s Core values and
Philosophy.
8. A person of very good standing within the Church and community.
9. A person with experience in higher education institutions will have an added advantage.
10. Be between 23-35 years of age at the time of application. - Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Patient evaluation or triaging.
2. Patient medication management.
3. Infection prevention and control.
4. Support health education and health promotion activities.
