Uganda Tourism Board (UTB) is a statutory organization established by Uganda Tourism Board Statute of 1994 and reconstituted in the Tourism Act 2008 with the following Statutory Objectives:
- To promote and contribute to the Development of Tourism sector both within and outside of Uganda.
- To coordinate with the Ministry responsible for Tourism and the private sector in the implementation of the National Tourism policy.
- To carry out any other activities as are incidental or conducive to the attainment of the two objectives specified above.
To maintain cleanliness of the office/facility and deliver messages to relevant offices, preparing and serving tea for staff, and visitors, maintaining the cleanliness of the tea area, and performing other administrative tasks as required.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Prepare and serve tea, coffee, and other beverages to staff and visitors
- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the tea area, including the fridge, sink, and countertops
- Restock supplies of tea, coffee, milk, sugar, and other beverages as needed
- Assist with washing and putting away dishes and utensils
- Perform other administrative tasks as required, such as photocopying, filing, and data entry
- Provide excellent customer service to staff and visitors
- Maintain confidentiality and discretion when handling sensitive information.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- Should possess a Diploma in catering and hospitality management from a recognised institution
Experience
- At least two years’ experience in a related field in a busy organisation
