To provide technical and operational support for the effective and efficient performance of the policy, planning, research monitoring and evaluation functions of the commission
Duties and Responsibilities
• Collects data for the formulation of policies
• Facilitates the preparation of the strategic plan of the commission
• Monitors the programme and activities of the commission
• Implements the programmes and activities of the Directorate
• Provides inputs for development of guidelines and strategies for the conduct of research, monitoring and evaluation activities of the commission
• Collates data for the preparation and production of fact sheets, policy briefs, research findings, reports and peer-reviewed articles
• Provides inputs for the development of concept notes and research proposals
• Participates in the conduct of research for the commission
• Collates data for the preparation of annual and other periodic reports of the Directorate
• Facilitates the preparation of annual and periodic reports of the commission
• Collates data for the preparation of the annual budget and work plan of the Directorate
• Supervises and appraises the performance of subordinate staff
Qualification Required & Experience
• A minimum of a Master’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, Hydrology or any other related discipline from an accredited tertiary institution
• Member be a member of a relevant and recognised professional body (e.g GhIE, Geosciences)
• A minimum of 1 year post Bachelor’s Degree relevant work experience in a reputable organisation
• Must pass a selection interview conducted by the WRC in collaboration with Public Services Commission
