- Accurate Documentation: Completing required documentation accurately, such as service worksheets and warranty claims, will help maintain clear records and support business operations.
- Continuous Learning: Completing training in line with skill and business requirements will keep you updated on the latest techniques and tools, enhancing your effectiveness.
- Work Area Maintenance: Keeping your work area and tools clean and in proper operation will ensure a safe and efficient working environment.
- Health and Safety Compliance: Adhering to all relevant Health, Safety & Environmental policies and reporting any issues will help maintain a safe workplace for everyone.
RESPONSIBILITIES
To be successful in this role you will need the following:
- Strong Diagnostic Skills: Ability to translate customer complaints into troubleshooting plans, using specialized tools and software to isolate and repair failed components.
- Proficiency with Electronic Service Tools: Knowledge of the hardware and software tools required for service events, and the ability to interpret their results to determine next steps.
- Understanding of Engine Systems: Capability to analyze interactions of electrical and mechanical systems using tools and service publications to diagnose and repair efficiently.
- Product Repair and Maintenance Expertise: Skills in repairing and maintaining mechanical/electrical products, following guidelines to ensure quality repairs and minimize customer costs.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education/ Experience
- Apprentice Certified Power Generation or Engine Technician (Preferred)
- Vocational diploma from relevant technical institution
- Current relevant electrical certification (optional)
- Locally valid driving permit
- Basic level field service work experience
- Intermediate level knowledge of and/or experience with power generation or engine products
- High Voltage/ Low Voltage experience (optional)
- Customer service experience
