  • An Operations Analyst in a micro-lending company plays a crucial role in optimizing and overseeing the day-to-day operational processes.

Job Responsibilities
Process Optimization:

  • Analyze and evaluate operational workflows to identify areas for improvement.
  • Develop and implement strategies to enhance the efficiency of lending processes.

Compliance and Risk Management:

  • Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and company policies.
  • Identify and assess operational risks, implementing measures to mitigate these risks.

Data Analysis and Reporting:

  • Collect, analyze, and interpret data related to lending operations.
  • Prepare regular reports and dashboards to communicate key operational metrics to management.

Customer Service Support:

  • Assist in resolving customer inquiries and issues related to lending operations.
  • Collaborate with customer service teams to enhance the overall customer experience.

Loan Processing:

  • Oversee the loan application and approval process, ensuring accuracy and adherence to lending policies.
  • Work with the underwriting team to assess and verify borrower information.

Documentation and Record-Keeping:

  • Maintain accurate and organized records of loan transactions.
  • Ensure documentation complies with regulatory and internal standards.

Collaboration:

  • Collaborate with different departments, including finance, compliance, and customer service, to streamline cross-functional processes.
  • Serve as a liaison between departments to address operational challenges and implement solutions.

System Integration:

  • Work with IT and systems teams to integrate and optimize operational systems.
  • Provide support for the implementation and maintenance of new software or technologies.

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance, Operations Management, or any other
  • Proven experience in operations analysis, process improvement, or a related role in the lending industry.
  • Knowledge of micro-lending operations, short-term finance, and SME lending.
  • Familiarity with regulatory compliance standards in the micro-lending industry.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in data analysis and reporting.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, data analysis tools, and operational software.
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work in a dynamic environment.

Job Experience:

  • 3-5 years of relevant experience in operations analysis or a similar role in the micro-lending or financial industry.
  • Demonstrated success in implementing process improvements and optimizing operational workflows.
  • Familiarity with risk management practices and compliance requirements in micro-lending.

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Comprehensive understanding of operational processes in micro-lending, short-term finance, and SME lending.
  • Proficiency in data analysis and reporting.
  • Knowledge of regulatory compliance standards and risk management in micro-lending.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills.
  • Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams in a micro-lending environment.
