The Company is seeking a dynamic and driven individual to join our team in Walvis Bay as a dedicated Operations Assistant. The ideal candidate possesses a strong work ethic and a passion for precision, ensuring seamless communication and delivery between departments. With a keen eye for detail and a commitment to efficiency, our runner will play a vital role in supporting the smooth operation of our company, facilitating the flow of materials, documents, and information.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Ensure documents are delivered to customs/customers and service providers timeously.
- Arrange customs inspections, keep customs acquittals and bond record up to date.
- Follow-up by customs for the documents to be released and collected on time.
- Deliver/Collect documents for any shipment-related inspections and other required protocols.
- Deliver/Collect parcels with customs documents and obtain relevant signatures.
- Adhoc duties as may be required.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
- Namibian Citizen
- Grade 12 certificate or equivalent
- Valid Driver’s License
- Computer Literate (Microsoft Office)
- Systems Exposure: Asycuda World and EDI Cargowise
- 1 – 2 years’ freight, cargo, customs and forwarding experience
- Knowledge in sea and air freight industry
