Duties and Responsibilities
Supports the implementation of the Country Office Operations Workplan focusing on the achievement of the following results;
- Assist in the coordination of the Finance, HR, Procurement, ICT and General Administration activities by providing administrative support and maintaining documentation.

- Help track budget expenditures and prepare reports for quarterly budget reviews by collecting and organizing financial data.
- Assist in organizing training sessions, workshops, and other capacity-building initiatives, including maintaining training records and materials.
- Provide support in procurement processes by helping with vendor research, purchase requests, and documentation of transactions.
- Assist in inventory and asset management by updating records, conducting stock checks, and supporting audits.
- Support the implementation of new technological tools by supporting basic research, testing systems, and providing user support.
- Help with facilities management tasks such as coordinating maintenance requests, tracking office supplies, and ensuring a well-maintained work environment.
- Assist the OM to follow up on deadlines, unit commitments and agreed actions.
- Support the coordination of information flow in the operations unit.
- Support internal trainings and knowledge sharing
Provide administrative support to the Operations Unit focusing on the achievement of the following results;
- Assist in analyzing data and conducting research on operational processes by collecting, organizing, and summarizing relevant information.
- Help draft reports, presentations, and other documents by compiling data, formatting content, and proofreading for accuracy.
- Provide logistical and administrative support for organizing workshops, retreats, and office events, including venue booking, participant coordination, and material preparation.
- Support audit preparations by assisting with document retrieval, data verification, and maintaining accurate records for compliance reviews.
Other:
Support other/ad hoc activities as seen relevant and needed.

Required Skills and Experience
Education
Candidates must meet one of the following educational requirements:
- currently in the final year of a Bachelor’s degree; or
- currently enrolled in a Master’s degree; or
- have graduated no longer than 1 year ago from a bachelor’s or master’s degree or equivalent studies.
Field of study: Business/Public Administrations, Economic or Social Sciences or equivalent.
IT skills:
- Knowledge and a proficient user of Microsoft Office productivity tools;
- Internet based working tools
Internship Conditions
- Duration 6 months with no possibility of extension.
- Interns will receive a monthly stipend.
- Interns must provide proof of enrolment in a health insurance or medical aid plan;
- Interns are responsible for securing adequate medical insurance for the duration of their internship with UNDP and must provide a medical certificate of good health prior to starting the internship.
- Interns are not eligible to apply for, or be appointed to, any post in UNDP during the period of the internship;
- Interns are not staff members and may not represent UNDP in any official capacity;
- Interns are expected to work full time but flexibility is allowed for education programmes;
- Interns need to obtain financing for subsistence and make own arrangements for internship, travel, VISA, accommodation, etc.
