We are looking for dedicated and passionate Pharmaceutical Technologists to join our growing team.

Overall Responsibility

The Pharmaceutical Technologist is responsible for the accurate dispensing of medications, stock management, and provision of pharmaceutical care under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Accurately interpret and dispense prescriptions to outpatients and inpatients.
  2. Provide appropriate counseling to patients on dosage, drug interactions, and side effects.
  3. Ensure the proper labeling and packaging of medications.
  4. Receive, store, and issue pharmaceutical supplies while maintaining proper inventory records.
  5. Monitor stock levels and expiry dates; assist in placing timely orders to avoid stockouts.
  6. Conduct monthly stock counts and prepare reports for management.
  7. Maintain accurate records of prescriptions, controlled drugs, and stock movement.
  8. Ensure all pharmaceutical practices adhere to the Pharmacy & Poisons Board regulations and facility protocols.
  9. Assist in preparing reports for audits and regulatory inspections.
  10. Maintain professional and courteous communication with patients, clinicians, and other departments.
  11. Participate in Continuing Medical Education and training related to pharmacy operations.

Requirements

  1. Diploma in Pharmaceutical Technology from a recognized institution.
  2. Registered and licensed by the Pharmacy and Poisons Board of Kenya.
  3. Minimum of 1 year\’s experience in a hospital or retail pharmacy setting.
  4. Familiarity with pharmacy management systems and drug supply chains.
  5. High ethical standards and integrity
